Flashback Friday: 9th Annual Chicagoland Memorial Golf Tournament for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

Restore sponsored the 9th Annual Chicagoland Memorial Golf Tournament for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation last week on Friday. The funds raised at this tournament were used to benefit the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty by providing support program services, scholarships, and other forms of assistance to the survivors.

Restore believes in the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s mission and proudly continues to support the Foundation each year. Their mission is to “honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes, to provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives, and work within the fire service community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.” The Foundation gives survivors of fallen firefighters a place to turn and fosters an amazing support system. Fire Departments also benefit from the Foundation by receiving training regarding not only how to handle line-of-duty deaths but also how to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries.

Restore enjoyed spending time with the survivors, current and retired firefighters and fire chiefs, support staff members, and volunteers during the outing. We are glad to have been part of such a wonderful cause. We urge others to support the Foundation as well.
