On September 23, 2023, over 35 women across the State gathered for hands-on live fire training at Romeoville Fire Academy headquarters. Fire Service Women of Illinois FSWI, are dedicated to the advancement of education, and professionalism and providing networking opportunities for women in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services of Illinois. The purpose of their foundation is to actively participate in shaping the future of the fire service through training.
Restore participated in sponsoring this event to help the association of women acquire what they needed for the training. Many trainings and activities like these are underfunded and in need of volunteering and/ or support.
